Some of the staff have sent in their lock down VE day celebration photos, there are more on the individual class blogs. Please feel free to send us some of your photos, if you have not already done so.
Hope you are all well and keeping safe. Thought I would share a few photos of how I celebrated VE day at home. I decorated my windows with flags and bunting. I then baked some fruit scones (they were delicious) and had a lovely tea with my husband. Later that evening we had a Zoom lockdown quiz with my family whom I’m missing very much. It was a very enjoyable day overall. Hope you all equally celebrated VE day in a safe and enjoyable way.
Missing you all very much.
Take care and stay safe.

To celebrate VE Day Mrs Beddow and Georgia made a good old fashioned bread pudding. I remember my nan making it and telling me that she used to make it with her mom during the war – using left over stale bread and eggs from the chickens in the garden plus other rationed ingredients – it was very yummy and brought back lovely memories.
We then made some home made bunting to decorate our back garden.
We also enjoyed a family BBQ and relaxed in the garden while listening to 1940s Wartime songs.
