Rushall Arts Festival 2022!

On Thursday 7th July we held our first ever ‘Arts Festival’ on our school field.  The day began with performances from Oakwood School and a Federation joint singing of ‘Wonderful World’ during the morning.  It was wonderful to be able to participate in a joint venture at last and to celebrate together.

Our afternoon began with a fantastic performance from our musical theatre club which included ‘Revolting Children’, ‘You will be found’ and ‘We don’t talk about Bruno’.  All Rushall classes then performed a song and a dance and also joined in with our summer term whole school songs; ‘Wonderful World’, ‘A Million Dreams’, ‘Shotgun’ and ‘Sing’.  Our ARP children produced a fantastic film; ‘Summer of Fun’ that is being shown through our school website and on our screen in our reception area.

We were blown away by the confidence shown by our children and their enjoyment was wonderful to see!  We are so proud of each and everyone of them.

After the performances we returned to the field to enjoy the storytelling tent, the arts and craft tent, the music tent, and to  enjoy the many stalls and exhibitions of art work.   These included face painting, a nail bar, ‘guess the name of the bear and dog’ and our very popular tombola!

During the final part for the day we held an ‘open mic’ session on the main stage where children could perform songs and dances including those that they have learned at clubs outside school.  What super talented and confident children we have!
