Christmas Cheer!

There has been a lovely atmosphere in school in the approach to Christmas and we have enjoyed every minute of it! We began with our ‘Festive Film Night’ followed by our ‘Christmas Fayre’ with hot chocolate, mince pies and letters to Santa. These events were much enjoyed and together raised much needed money for our school fund. Thank you to all of our families for your generous donations and support at these events. Congratulations to all of our lucky raffle winners!

Last week our Early Years and Key Stage One children performed their Christmas nativity play; ‘Snuggle Up Stable’. We were very impressed with the children both in terms of their confidence and enthusiasm! The singing was beautiful as was the dancing and the children spoke and signed confidently. A huge well done to all involved in putting this show together!

Christmas dinner was very popular and enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to our wonderful kitchen staff for making this very special for us!

This week began with our wonderful Key Stage Two Christmas concert which was absolutely fantastic! The children performed their poetry and singing beautifully and we are so proud of each and every one of them. Well done Key Stage Two children and staff; this was a stunning performance!

This week we also enjoyed our Christmas parties with traditional games and party food. Our younger classes were surprised by a very special visitor!

Yesterday we were amazed to see rainbow clouds visible from our playground! A truly remarkable experience and thought by many children to be a sure sign that Christmas is on its way!

On behalf of all of the staff we would like to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year! We look forward to seeing the children back in school on Tuesday 9th January 2024!
