Spring 2024!

We have had a very exciting end to the spring term here at Rushall with our ‘World Book Day’ celebrations and the many other exciting activities that have taken place as we approach our Easter break.

On Thursday 7th March we celebrated ‘World Book Day’ by dressing up as our favourite story characters. The children looked absolutely amazing (and the staff too as you can see above)! The children were very excited to share their favourite books and author projects with their peers. The standard of work sent in has been fantastic and their thoughts, ideas and book recommendations will be used across school to enhance our classroom book corners. We were also very lucky to have received a visit from the wonderful ‘Hobgoblin’ theatre group who performed their show; ‘The Greatest Fairytale Ever Told’.

We have finished the term with our traditional Rushall Easter traditions. These have included our Easter bonnet competition and parade, and our decorated egg competition. Winners have been announced in assembly this morning and all children have received a chocolate surprise. Our ‘Rushall Roll’ has been taking place throughout the day within classes. Children – your singing was beautiful this morning as always and we can’t wait for the Arts Festival in the summer where we know you will shine before a big audience!

A huge thank you to parents and carers for all of your continual help and support with homework and for providing the wonderful costumes that make events such as these so special and memorable for the children.

On behalf of all of the staff we wish you a very happy Easter and look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 8th April.
