A very special birthday!

This morning we had a very special assembly to celebrate Jonah’s Great-Grandad’s 100th birthday!  We learned all about how things have changed since 1918 and in particular technology!  Following the assembly Jack was interviewed by our ‘Rushall Dragon’ reporters – look out for their report in the next edition of our school newspaper.

Conor and Owen are also celebrating their birthdays today!

Congratulations to Miss Faulkner!

Congratulations to Miss Faulkner who has recently been received a ‘Best Practise’ award for her work in supporting families through ‘Early Help’.  We are delighted that the local authority has recognised Miss Faulkner’s work in this way!

Eid Assemblies

Thank you to all of the children who have helped this week with our assemblies about Eid.  The children spoke with enthusiasm and confidence, answering questions and helping us all to learn more about the celebrations that will take place shortly.  We wish all of our families who celebrate it a very happy Eid!

First Aid Training for Parents

Our First Aid training for parents on Friday on ‘choking’ was very successful with very good attendance.  We look forward to offering further training from now in response to requests from parents.  Our next session will focus on CPR, details to follow.

Young Authors Celebrate in Year 2!

A huge congratulations to our talented story writers in year 2 who have had their short stories published in a book!  The children were selected via a young writers competition where they were asked to write a short story on a story land theme such as: Blue Lagoon, Screamsville, Heroes’ Hideout or Enchanted Island.  Our children completed this work independently at home and we are so proud that their work has been published, well done!

Red Team Woodland Reward

On Wednesday red team went to the woods as part of their reward for winning the most tokens for excellent effort, work and behaviour this half term.  A fantastic time was had by all.  Well done red team!

Sports Days 2018!

We are very proud of our children for their fantastic effort on their sports days.  We are so impressed with the good sportsmanship that they have shown throughout.  Well done everyone!

A Royal Picnic!

Our children rose to the occasion as usual by behaving beautifully throughout our royal picnic and afterwards when playing on the field.  We are very proud of you!

Our School Vote Results!

Following our whole school vote last week we can announce that our new garden area and outdoor classroom will be called ‘The Rushall Retreat’!  Thank you children for all of the wonderful suggestions of names, and for taking part in our  vote.

Exciting discovery at the woods!

Our year five and year one pupil leaders have made an exciting discovery at the woods!  They have discovered a blackbirds’ nest.  Initially it contained two eggs but it now has three!  We are very lucky to now have the opportunity to see what happens next.
